FAQs – Knotty Pine Chalet

As you near the dates of your getaway, you will get a link to a guidebook that will have all the information you will need to know about the chalet, from directions, check-in/check-out, amenities provided, wifi, and instructions for appliances.

We respectfully ask:

Check in is at 3pm. If there is availability for earlier check-in, we will notify you. Check out is at 11am. If you need a late checkout, we will need to check to see if that is possible.

3 cars max on the property. If you need to park more than 3 cars, please notify us.

No smoking in the house. Feel free to smoke on the front or back porch, but please make sure your butts are completely put out in the ashtrays provided. Do not throw cigarette butts into the yard.

Please book your reservation with the correct number of guests so we can make sure the chalet is stocked properly for your stay.

No illegal activities or drugs and no alcohol consumption by guests under 21.

Quiet hours are from 9pm to 7am. Please be respectful to our neighbors.

Please wash all pots, pans, dishes and silverware to the level you would like to find them at check-in.

The chalet will be cleaned after your departure. We ask that you help the cleaning crew by leaving all dirty towels on the bathroom floor and DO NOT make up beds that were used. Close all windows and turn off all lights.

If you prefer lots of sunshine and mild to moderate temperatures, then Big Bear is your place! At 7,000' altitude, Big Bear's 320+ days of sunshine each year guarantee no "June Gloom" here! Summer temperatures average 77 degrees daytime and 45 degrees at night. Winter brings about 120 inches of annual snowfall with temps in the mid-40s during the day and mid-20s at night.
